About this

The purpose of this blog is to record some of the interesting things I have found and how, where necessary, I have repaired them. I collect all sorts of things including unusual lights, vintage furniture, test and metrology equipment, telex machines and shortwave radios.

I live in Germany and have the benefit of a few like minded friends here who help with advice or an extra set of hands when working on a new project.

I now live in Australia where I no longer have the benefit of like minded friends nearby to work together on our projects. I quite miss that but it is what it is. I still maintain strong ties back to Germany and we are able to discuss our projects and help each other out as best as possible.

I am not formally trained in electronics or engineering. I am a mere tinkering amateur who enjoys learning about these things in my free time. I am a lawyer with a masters degree in law and business. I have no regrets.

If any particular project interests you please make a comment and let me know your thoughts. Otherwise, you can use the contact form page to get in touch privately.
